Ooooooops!!!
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.
Re: Ooooooops!!!
I've always wondered how they made the open-top versions....
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

Re: Ooooooops!!!
Ooops indeed!
When I was a kid, a double-decker bus got wedged under the rail bridge at South Ruislip station.
According to the local news, experts were contemplating how to extract the bus without further damage,
when a schoolboy suggested that they let some air out of the tyres. That worked.

Re: Ooooooops!!!
There is a bridge just around the corner from the Stoke-on-Trent railway station where that sort of thing happens on a regular basis, especially to double-decker buses where rookie drivers forget how tall they are and think because they regularly drive under there in their car they can do the same with the bus! It is very obviously sign-posted that it is a low bridge too with both high-vis signs and a warning bar strung across the road before the bridge.
