Sorry about the bad links.

In short. The owner of a Ferrari offered a ride to a guy i know and his son around the neighborhood.
He killed Eddie and himself and injured Eddie's son.

This ride around the neighborhood shouldn't have been dangerous at all . All the streets have speed limits signs of 35mph or less. But the driver thought he could more than double the speed of what road engineers considered safe.

I'm not asking for condolences... just.. if an opportunity arises .. consider the risks.

Hate to use the words 'showing off' but think this could be the reason for the crash. What a tragedy, two lives lost on what should have been preventable. :(

When I used to work on the cameras I had witnessed two very bad crashes one involving the loss of two lives after the young driver drove far too fast in a 30mph area lost control and was launched into the air after hitting the kerb before smashing into a building.

The second one was again due to excessive speed, took a gradual right hand bend but was travelling too fast and side swiped a wall, all survived but............the awful thing was the front seat passenger had his elbow out of the window prior to the crash and his left arm was severed from the elbow and one of his friends was holding what was left of his arm upwards to stop the bleeding.

I cringe every-time I see a driver or passenger with their arm out of the window as they drive along, all it takes is a glancing blow from an on-coming vehicle for the driver to suffer a similar fate!!

Regards
Nigel.
