Famous Ben Hartmann's Surprise Repaint For IAF

Post by Aharon »

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Israeli air force had been invited to participate in annual Red Flag Operation exercises held in Alaska so the country decided to send its 707 refuel tankers to participate in Red Flag Operation flying from Tel Aviv via England for refueling to KPSM Portsmouth International Airport one nautical mile west of the central business district of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States on way to Alaska

Why KPSM Portsmouth International Airport? That is because that is where many KC-135s of USAF are based and it is ideal place not only for refueling but also for any possible spare part replacements or repairs if needed.

Thanks for those, Aharon.
A question, "Just before touchdown" appears to have tyre smoke bottom left; what am I seeing?

Airspeed,

Thank you for kind words and that is great question

It is not uncommon to see snow or snow dust blowing out from jet blast and plane's movement when the plane is few feet from making touchdown.

Aharon
