Tornados return to Marham for Retirement

Post by Nigel H-J »

Sad to see, they served well but not as iconic as the Hunter or Lightening. :((

A good aircraft, and I like looking at the two at Duxford, but I've never really had much interest in it. Still, they provided sterling service, and I think us taxpayers got value for money over the years. :)

I've always like the Tornado. Thought it looked like it means business. :tonka:

I thought it was "Must Replace Canberra Again" (attempt #1 being the TSR.2) or "Mother Riley's Cardboard Aeroplane" (a reference to its intention of being multi-rôle aircraft, something which turned out to be harder to achieve than thought) *-)

I knew it was something like that. So was it that good?
