Tornados return to Marham for Retirement
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.
Re: Tornados return to Marham for Retirement
A good aircraft, and I like looking at the two at Duxford, but I've never really had much interest in it. Still, they provided sterling service, and I think us taxpayers got value for money over the years.

I thought it was "Must Replace Canberra Again" (attempt #1 being the TSR.2) or "Mother Riley's Cardboard Aeroplane" (a reference to its intention of being multi-rôle aircraft, something which turned out to be harder to achieve than thought)

I knew it was something like that. So was it that good?
