We have some rot at the base of our verandah posts.
Bought some steel stirrups to replace the lower 130mm of them.
As I prised the first post off the nails and slid it from under the fascia, there was a loud creaking followed by splintering wood sounds.
Bewildered, I'm looking left and right to see what was collapsing.
Then there was a huge crashing as a large bough from one of next door's trees fell into their garden.
