A day in the life....

In May, 2012, I had my prostate removed.
PSA tests showed none detectable for years.
In 2018, they found 0.01.
October 2018, they picked up 0.03, so they asked for another test in January 2019.
A couple of admin. slip-ups meant that my review didn't happen until today. The reading was 0.111.
My next appointment will be with radiology, not urology.
They think that a few cells were left in my system, and they've probably migrated to lymph nodes and multiplied.
Not a happy visit....
.. But whilst in the big smoke, I bought another offcut of aluminium sheet, to make MkII of my Hurricane wheel/flap gate. (MkI metal stamping wasn't up to required standard). I'll let you know progress in due course.

OMG getting old(er) really sucks. Last year my doc raised the Question of a Prostate exam during a visit for something else. But she is young and recently qualified and I think she was embarrassed by the whole awful business. So the matter has not raised its ugly head again. I suppose I should bring it up. Last time I was there she had me filling out DNR forms which was a worry. I think the Government wants us oldies out the way asap. I'm only 64.
You should feel my hip, and my back, and was that right knee just as sore last week as this? And so it goes on...... :help:

Alex,
Get over the embarrassment, matey, 30 seconds of lubricated insertion is nothing.
Compare that with regular nurse visits to scrape up the patient's poo and vomit, and administer blanket baths and pain relieving drugs.
No embarrassment there, eh? I know which one I would choose.

Get started, you may be in the clear! :agree:
