Immaculate Conception?

I've just been reading that the Catholic Church are investigating how two Nuns became pregnant. Surely they know about the Birds and Bees?

The Mayor of the town where one of them lives, said he's extending his "solidarity" to her. It seems like somebody else had done that!

I apologise if this offends any Catholics among us.

Most Nuns have none, which is fitting.
These two have gone for fatting instead.
Will their offspring be Nunettes, Nunderlings..... :dunno:
Whatever, that'll teach them for sitting on a chair that's still warm from a tomcat. :agree:

This is just the Catholic church coming up to date on sexual equality. Let's face it priests have been molesting altar boys for centuries (it's almost a Papal sport fer christ's sake!) so the nuns decided to have a go themselves, with unfortunate consequences.

It puts a whole new meaning on 'putting an offering in the collection bowl' though!

Another thought, maybe the two thought it was sinful and disobedient to use contraceptives?

From the BBC page on Christian ethics:
The Roman Catholic Church only allows 'natural' birth control, by which it means only having sex during the infertile period of a woman's monthly cycle. Artificial methods of contraception are banned.

Thus the only way for a Catholic couple to be faithful to the Church's teachings on human sexuality and to avoid having children is to use 'natural' family planning. Many Catholics have decided to disobey church teaching in this part of their lives, causing a substantial breach between laity and the Church establishment.

It was probably priests who were responsible, Larry.
