I see that Eastern will be taking over Fllybe's Aberdeen-Birmingham, Southampton-Manchester and Southampton-Newcastle services from next week.

Yes, I read that too. I think they’ll be using Newcastle as a base too? They seem to be doing quite well of late. I don’t know much about their history.

Yes, I’ve heard that said about Christine. I know very little about him, but I had a lot of time for Jim French. He seemed a decent sort, but no personal experience of him other that what I saw/read.
