So excited.
We live under one of the Heathrow flight paths, and this afternoon we saw two aircraft. We saw one yesterday too.

Living 1 mile north of the centre of Heathrow, you wouldnt believe how nice the last few days have been.
Sadly I am missing the activities in the air but the lack of traffic is sheer bliss.........

I am getting the cargo flights over her as they can now take a shortcut. See the odd Ryanair flight but we wont talk about that.

Re: So excited.
I watched a Ryanair 737 depart with interest the other day at work.
I felt so ashamed
Luckily we had two C17's depart yesterday which made up for it.
Aviation is certainly a different world right now. STN usually handles 80,000 passengers a day and yesterday's inbound figure (on a Ryanair from Dublin) was just 11.
I imagine the outbound number was similar.

Yes we had a C17 look as if it was going into Brum the the other day. I wonder if it was bringing bits in for the Hospital they are building at the NEC.

Yesterday we saw an Emirates A350 going in to Heathrow, and it departed later for Doha.
Saw it fly over, and confirmed on the radar.

Re: So excited.
It slowly apperars to be getting a little busier at Heathrow. Went for a couple of walks around the perimeter over the weekend and although nowhere near its usual standards there were quite a few movements. Quite a lot of A350 activity was noticeable!

Re: So excited.
The virgin and BA A350’s seem to have been fairly consistent and with the 787’s seem to be getting more routes, I’m guessing due to better fuel burn? I think most of the older 777 will be bean cans soon.
