The Ozzie's already have a homegrown variation named after a well known opera singer of the time, a certain Ms. Peach if I remember correctly (or was it Melba...hmmmm?!)

Ms. Peach or Melba, eh?
In the US it's known as Peach cobbler.
But don't tell Mike.. I'm afraid he'll dump peaches on the local cordwainer and make desert of him.
At any rate, neither are even close to the banana split I posted a picture of.
The ingredients of which are as follows.
Start with a mike , peel it .. wait sorry
Start with a "Banana", peel it, slice it in two -lengthwise
Add 3 scoops of ice cream, 1 scoop chocolate 1 scoop. Vanilla 1 scoop Strawberry
Swirl chocolate syrup liberally over the chocolate ice cream
Add pineapple chucks, and sliced strawberries over the vanilla and strawberry ice cream and top with whipped cream.
Garnish with Maraschino Cherries and peanuts. ... whole or crushed.. some like them crushed.. I'm not sure how Mike would like them... I'll ask.
Hey Mike, want me to crush your nuts?

.........
Add pineapple chucks,
I would not consider eating either of them.
A banana split, what, no ham and cheese?
Please do not send me a Peach Melba, Pavlovas are king in this establishment.
