Oooo-er,
Having released the front views, I'm told that the original C image is wrong.
Waiting for info on this, as I can't find any alternative underside views.
Tried to get an FSX version so I could look from all angles, but can't find one. PMDG did one, but it's no longer available, and I get zero results on two freeware sites. There's mention of one for FS2002, but apparently it is not a good model.
Based on a photo linked by Motormouse, seems that C should look like Cii:
EDIT: Pete has now submitted an extract from the real world manual. See "C (man)". How much this varies from the exact lines relevant to the 1960s, I'm unable to say.
The nacelles are obviously different, and Keith tells me that the early versions had very noisy Astazous engines.

Entries appear to have ceased, even with those front views.
Here's the approximate 24 hour notice of posting the results.

No attempt from me, Mike. It was all too much for my little brain. ;)

Ding. Time's up.
Diamond badge and Star to Pete (Milesman) for getting 6/6 on his first try.
Some may say that he must have the same inaccurate book as me, seeing as "C" contained inaccuracies.
Here you go, Pete:
ImageImage
All the other entries got to 6/6 one way or another, and I promised Diamond badges to any who got 6,
Here are yours, Pete (Motormouse), Eric (Tomliner), JohnD, and despite almost insisting that he was wrong on one, Keith (Dev One).
Imageand because you all put in so much effort and chipped in such intelligent extras, this too:Image
Some names have changed even since the book was published, but the titles at that time were:
A ATR (Aerospatiale/Alenia) 72
Image
B Beechcraft Super King Air 350
Image
C B Ae Jetstream 41
Image
D CASA C-212-30 Aviocar
Image
E Dassault Atlantique 2 (ATL 2)
Image
F DH Canada Dash 8-300A
Image
When you look closely, there are features which delineate between, say, Beechcraft B200/B350/B1900.
I'll see if I can make the next one more straightforward. *-) :dunno:

Why doesn't he ever do helicopters?
Well, now he's done one. 10-04
Usual PM answers only please. Thank you.
The manufacturers have had some name changes over the years.

No Mike I do not have the book!
I must admit the Jetstream was the last one I got. I could see that the wing was definitely Jetstream but was not happy about the engines, however the Mark 41 was the only Jetstream with engine nacelle mounted main wheels so I don't really understand the song and dance about the drawing inaccuracy. I enjoy your efforts to amuse us Mike and do not take it too seriously.

Eight correct answers, no wrong answers, no new entries, guess that's it for the chopper.
PeteP, Mick (woody901), Keith (Dev One), Ben (TSR2), Eric (Tomliner), AllanL, Brian Franklin and Den (511Flyer) all get another badge today.
Image
Manufacturers included Agusta, Westland Helicopters, AgustaWestland, Finmeccanica, Leonardo S.p.A. Known by a few numbers, initially EHI 01 (European Helicopter Industries 01), which somebody misinterpreted as EH101, which stuck; also AW101. Names "Merlin", "Cormorant", and a US variant "Kestrel".
I'm fed up with this one.
*-) what next?

New one 13-04.
Submissions by PM only please.
Now, this is a horse of a different colour.
You didn't like the wings, so I'm giving you the whole plan views.
Like the other book, the view is from underneath.
There are 5 silhouettes here. See if you can name all five. ;)

.........
EDIT: The following line is rubbish. The book is the 1991-92 version.
Which good ole days are we talking, Keith? This set came from the 1960s. The only earlier images I have are cave paintings.**
...........
I have now realised that one of the books is from 1964, the other is 91/92. I got them confused because several aircraft appear in both editions, so it wasn't entirely rubbish.
