Indeed it does look like a Beaufighter, that's why this sneaky person put it up! :OB:

That was a grand parade of entries, Gentlemen.
For those who haven't seen it yet, without the snow-capped Pyramids:

Now, I know that the first two across the line with unerring accuracy and no help at all, were
PeteP and Joe Cusick,(blanston12)
For you, Gents...Image

Following in their footsteps, and with varying degrees of gentle hints through to good "manufacturer clues", were:
Keith, (Dev One); PeterW, (MilesMan); Chris, (chrispbits); Mick (woody901); Pete (Motormouse); Den (511Flyer); Ben (TSR2)
Gold ain't so bad, is it?...Image
Should any of you believe that you hit the target without additional clues, you are most welcome to change lines and take a diamond badge. I don't know who looked at what and when they did it.

Ben came up with a ripper link, which changed my opinion on what I felt was very light armament for a heavy fighter; apparently the cannon were backed up with .303 machine guns. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of either, given the choice. :worried: Anyway, lots of extra info here, including different power sources:
