Classic British Flight Sim

Kevin, that's the spirit! Allan was so very close, and it took me a while to find that micro difference.
Not that I'm denigrating the winners, but I see this as more about learning than winning.
Hopefully I haven't given too much away today:

I remembered the Mustang from my collection of Observers Aircraft (completed after decades thanks to ebay not a word to swmbo). If I had dug them out I might have got the right version!

The latest has a hint of the de Havilland Hornet about the spindly leg (definitely not swmbo), but I think we have had that recently.

I'm probably miles off target here, Mike but I thought at first it was the Bristol 188. Having looked again, though, I've decided on the Fairey Delta 2/BAC221.

In the unlikely event that it is the FD2/BAC221, what's the betting I still don't win because some sharp-eyed smart-@rse on here can spot a minute detail in the photo which can tell them apart?

EDIT: Well, with a little bit of help from Kevin Farnell via PM who is one of the sharp-eyed but too modest to take credit for it, we think it is more likely to be the BAC 221

I hadn't considered the FD2 or BAC 221. Doing a quick google, I noticed the difference in main gear between the two. I sent Pete a PM as if I'd put the links on here, I feared that someone else would steal the credit which I believe that Pete deserves.

For my part, I thought the undercarriage looked familiar and was thinking along the lines of Lightning or EE P1, but the rest of the aircraft was wrong.

Hope Pete's nailed it.

With all the angular panels & edges I was going F117........but cannot find an appropriate photo as proof.
