I know what it sort of looks like, but that's about all. *-)
Yes Paul, as I've had to mention in the PMs, it's a very common overall appearance for its time. :agree:
I think that school kids in the 50's would probably have drawn that general shape to put an aeroplane in their pictures.
This one is a bit tricky. Like Paul I know what it looks like, in fact as Mike indicates it has an appearance similar to many. However the tailplane and fin aren’t matching anything I’ve found so far.EricT *-)

ps I was a school kid in the 50s but it’s better than anything I could’ve drawn!

Yep, it's the tail fin with me too, Eric. I thought I had it this morning, but once again the fin didn't quite match.

OK chaps, it is a rare one. Would you like any clues? (apart from the fact that it is a rare one  )

After trawling every 4 engine piston aircraft I was getting very frustrated... because I've seen this before while looking for another Bitzer a while back, and I can't for the life of me find it now. 8) :worried:

The manufacturers name would be a helpful clue. :wasntme:

I've received 4 correct answers, but I feel your pain, Gentlemen.
Here's 2 clues at once:
It's not British. (ding-there goes diamond)
It's not American. (ding-there goes gold)

*-) either the clues didn't help, or maybe everyone wants no less than diamonds?
Ooh! I've just discovered that my Inbox was full (500 messages). Maybe that's why no new messages? I've deleted everything dated December 2020; that put a dent in it.
Last chance for silver, you Observers. 24 hours and I'll close the book on this one.

Haven’t had any more time to look at this Mike as the kids are off school for the Easter holidays now. I knew it wasn’t British or American, but as I said I wasn’t able to find it.. I wait with bated breath for the big reveal
