A small appeal

Post by Paul K »

This is Azaylia, who is 8 weeks old, and suffering from leukaemia. Her family are friends of my younger daughter Katherine, and she has asked that I help spread the word concerning Azaylia's plight.

Her only hope is a bone marrow transplant, but her mixed Indian/Caribbean/Caucasian ethnicity is complicating the search for a bone marrow match. There is a national registry, who will send out a simple oral swab which is then tested and compared. There is an upper age limit of 55, so quite a few of us here at CBFS ( myself included ) will not be eligible. However, for those who can, and those who know others who might be willing, here's the link:

Thanks for reading.

Indeed, Brian. A time which should be filled with happiness, not anxiety and sorrow.
