Almost cracked it. Slightly roughen the aircraft surfaces in order to create static which in flight then charges a very large capacitor in the fuselage. That in turn discharges via a resistor to a powerful motor which via a gearbox drives the props.Only slight snag so far is that with all this contained within the fuselage there would be no space for any payload and of course the capacitor would need to be charged from a trolley acc. before take off but I’ll continue development then begin the marketing campaign.agree: EricT

Question, Is static lekky the same as DC lekky? Mind you there is the possibility of converting the heat generated in discharging into steam.....etc...Tomliner wrote: ↑13 Mar 2021, 07:42Almost cracked it. Re: How big's the meter?
How about a catapult launch, and dynamos attached to the props; from there on, perpetual motion.

Re: How big's the meter?
Further you could make it with a very big wing giving much too much lift & dive the aircraft all the time so using gravity?

Perhaps the pilot could press the Y key?

I can’t understand why with so many brilliant ideas, that we haven’t been engaged as consultants on this project. Perhaps our skills haven’t been recognised yet. Just a matter of time EricT
