Bang goes my No Claims bonus!!!

Post by migman29 »

It's been a bit of a dull day up here in RJ's hometown,so around 1pm with Mrs Migman amusing herself I thought I'll have a bit of summer Fs style.

I thought I'd get off from St Mary's(Scilly Isles),pick up Land's End and have a run along the South Cornwall,Somerset and Dorset coast and see where we ended up.

Uncle Del's v2 Dove in Channel colours fitted the bill nicely,so I fired up Fs and off we went.
Keep to about 120kts and 2000' and have a look-see at this VFR autogen scenery.

I'd been tootling along for about 45mins when Mrs Miggy announces we're having daughter and fiance round for dinner(posh at ours see) and that she'll be doing a green salad and the only tomatoes we've got are vine
and that she hopes they'll be ok.

That was when the "bell" rang so to speak, tomatoes,Channel Islands,
Channel Airways.......Hmmm  .

Head for Southend, swap over to the Budgie and nip over to Jersey for some toms, good thinking batman.

So I land at Southend, park up and change aircraft, enter my flight plan-
IFR Southend-Jersey,call up ATC and get my clearance to go.
Set up the nav radios, etc and get on the blower again and get clearance to taxi.
So I push back and swing around to head out to the runway and ATC tells me to hold as there's a 737 on the taxiway.
I do as I'm told and put the parking brake on and watch the silly AI 737 run straight into me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crash-Tinkle    ,bent budgie.

It wasn't my fault, honest hocifer :dunno: .He ran into me while I was parked :tuttut: :tuttut: :tuttut: .

    .

You should have gone to Tesco - and by the way - they also do insurance.

You're right there John.
I could have sent Mrs Miggy, then I could have carried on enjoying my
jaunt in Uncle Del's latest Dove.

Wow Steve, that's what I call AI .

Any chance of a copy of your files and a pointer as to where to get the Vulc(s) please?

You know what AI stands for don't you? Artificial Intravenus (I)njection.
So they intraveniously injected you with 737 vaccine?
Should keep those 737's out of range.
