Was waiting to watch Tour de france on ITV4 on Wednesday and caught last 5 mins of Jason King with big hair, moustache etc when he was kissing his stewardess goodbye then it cut to Geneva airport with a BEA Black and Red Trident1 sitting in front of the terminal.
Anyone else catch it?

They're a wealth of old Classic aircraft footage and worthy of watching for that alone

I like watching old British films of the 50's & early 60's just so I can look at the background scenery.

The aviation film Cone of Silence has some very good shots LHR before the multi-stories were built and there appears to b nothing between you and the a/c.

A film called "Out Of The Clouds" is a good one

BEA Viscounts and James Robertson Justice as a BOAC Stratocruiser pilot.

Another actor features as a BOAC Constellation pilot.

Runs every now and then on C4 in the afternoons.

Dick Emerys "Oh you are Awful" has an early scene film at T1 with an pier full of Bealine Tridents and Vanguards, and try Morecambe & Wise in "The Rivera Touch for a flight in a BUAF Bristol Superfreighter

I was also thinking of that one, where here accepts his a/c because it sounds right during an engine run.

Also an Arab type tries to get the Connie pilot to smuggle watches but he tell the contact he has been arrested

We're British and BOAC pilots don't do thatsort of thing line in the film

It's a gret film shot at a time wher the world was a very different place.
