Comet visible

Post by Garry Russell »

The weathers here has been sh...er....not good lately

But today has dawned with bright sunshine  ......disappearing fast now  but with the odd blue patch.

So it may just be possible to get a glimpse of the Comet McNaught that is in the SW sky after sunset and is also in the morining sky but I don't know how clear that is. This is Northern hemisphere....the Southerners get their turn later, and I guess more chances to see it. :huf:

Well might be worth a look any chance you can get

Hi Garry,

thanks for info. I hope I get to see it. I remember Halle Bopp some years ago and seeing that was breath taking.

Cheers for the HU

Why is it that when I saw the thread title, I though Garry had seen a DH Comet  How dissappointing

Weather might be good enough here. I'm on the look out for it.

The tail isn't visible from here, but I believe this is it, seeing as there's no stars visible at this time. Taken around 16:30GMT. Yes, it's south west.

Yes, I was doubtful as to what it was.

Still, at least I've got a few pics of Venus.
