good shots john, nice to see the grey funnel line at sea and not mothballed in dock.
just for the tech people. as per merchant navy rules. any vessel less than 70 tons is classed as a boat and not a ship. then above that weight a boat is a sub and a ship is a ship.
i had my last hour on the wheel coming into portsmouth, not long after that i got my transfer to the engineroom. lot better down there, lots of things for me to break and blame on the deck crew. :lol:

still have hold of my licence allowing me to control up to 250,000 ton.

my best view of ships passing in the mist was off the coast of portugal and we came up on a full rigged sailing ship, it was outstanding. after about 5mins we left her astern and slowly drifted in to the fog.
