Smith's Dove G-AOSE

Post by Bridon Bear »

Here is one for those air spotters of the 60's....This Dove was a resident of Staverton Airport (EGBJ) for many years alongside the '748 and Varsity.........

Just uploaded to the 3 usual sites for those interested..

Regarding the Anson...I only found out recently that the rather fetching airworthy Blue one seen at Shuttleworth etc was once THE Smiths Anson......G-AHKX... Small World (Aviation wise... )

A quick heads-up. You'll need to rename the texture folder from "smt" to "texture.Smiths" for the repaint to appear correctly. She's a beauty! Thanks again, Brian!

Thanks for pointing that one out Fly Texas just shows that silly little mistakes can happen... :cpu:

I have amended the file on 'The Pond' easily enough but as for Avsim and Flightsim.com there seems to be no provision to edit the files now they are 'Up There' so to speak.

I am not expecting humungous amounts of downloads on this one.. so without confusing the issue by re-sending the file again, my email is naturally in the readme so I am sure that any who have not 'sussed' the small error will contact me then I can sort those out easily enough.

Many thanks for pointing this out to me once more....all this is pretty new to me but mistakes like these certainly help to prevent it happening again :doho:

Regards.

Indeed, that's why there are (sometimes) endless streams of 'fix' files uploaded.

I made a similar mistake with one of the Vigilante repaints I posted and I wanted to withdraw the original file, but that was such a drama I gave up and had a pre-filed email ready for anyone who came back to me to solve the problem. Amazingly only 4 did out of a couple of hundred downloads. The others must have either sorted it themselves or binned the file

I downloaded your Smiths Dove before I had even logged on here tonight, really looks the business. Somehow that scheme suits the shape very well, does it not?
Regards
Kit
