Re: Dan Dare 146
I thought if you used 2048x2048 they worked in FS 9 as it picks up the first lower res image it can use...1024x1024
Certainly some people were experimenting with 2048 for FS9 and thought they had a breakthrough as they worked until it was pointed out about the lower and lower res mips stack that get used in FS as distance increases as demand for detail becomes less and what was actually happening when they ran the 'high res'.
Of course all one need to do is try and see what will happen , it may well work, but if it does, it won't be 2048 you're seeing

You may well be right Garry, it's been a while since I've looked at fs9 in any depth.
The textures will still need converting to bmp anyway, so they may as well get resized at the same time.

Re: Dan Dare 146
I've downloaded and unzipped the DanAir folder but it doesn't contain a .qwl file - so can't be installed using the livery manager. Am I missing something?
I installed the BA and a couple of RAF ones OK, thank you very much, Dave

Re: Dan Dare 146
Which link did you use, the one in my post above or directly from our file library?
If you downloaded from my link, unzip the file & you'll see a jpg screenshot, a readme file & another zip file. Rename the extension from zip to qwl & it should work.
If you downloaded from the library, just rename it from zip to qwl without unzipping.
Sorry about the mix-up, I'll get the files sorted soon.

Re: Dan Dare 146
Hi Dave. I first downloaded the one from the library and when I couldn't see the qwl file, I downloaded from your link. Thanks for the response, I'll rename and try again and report back in an hour or soDaveG wrote:Which link did you use, the one in my post above or directly from our file library?

I renamed the zip folder in your link, Dave, and it installed perfectly. Thanks again.
