Does anybody know if theres a repaint availible for DMs VC-10 in the RAF desert pink scheme.

Hi Thomas, no there isn't as no C1K's wore desert pink, only the K3's and K4's

He did a K4 for FS2002 years ago, but it never made it to the newer model. David hasn't done any work on his models for a good few years now, like many of the rest of us, new family and real world mean that such things get parked up. I would suggest its very unlikely.

You could always create your own very easily with a bit of photoshoppery. :)

All I've done here is change the colour balance from the grey on the left to the gulf'ish tone on the right. This is a very quick thing I just did, took about 10 seconds, from memory but with proper adjustment a better more accurate colour can be created.

That does, however, shift all the colours and is not really an effective method

Mine was only a quick convert and if I took any time over it I'd create layers, masks or even simpler copy them back into the conversion from the original.

Just trying to give him ideas :)


Could possibly work with a replace colour setting, so it changes all greys to whatever colour you specify and doesn't touch any other.
