Virtavia BN2 - Police Repaints

Post by DaveB »

Hi Chaps..

Got this finished for you. It's the wrong model I know but it's the only worthwhile Islander available so it got painted. Last repaint of this aircraft was for FS2002 so it's overdue

As it's basically the wrong model, I've chosen to give it the rounder, older nose.. I don't like the very pointy one  Should you wish to use the pointy nose model, simply change the model= line to read PN instead of SN. I've not tried it but nothing should fall off ;)

Here's another for the collection.. this time the PSNI Islander G-BSWR

As with the Greater Manchester Police paint, the real aircraft.. although an Islander is also a BN2T so you'll have to pretend you've a turbo-prop strapped to each wing :) Unlike the GMP paint, this one is the right shape for the real aircraft ;) Oh.. I toned down the patch-quilt wing surfaces since these screenshots too so it doesn't look quite as much like a collection of spares :cpu:

Thanks for these Dave.

I particularly like 'PB' a simple scheme but reminiscent of maritime patrol. With it being a Police aircraft, I did toy with the idea of changing the colour of the upper red rotating beacon to blue
I've been having fun flying the Islanders around both the Scilly Isles and Barra in the Hebrides. Aircraft has a really good flight model.

Regards

Kevin

Also has the old wings...the pointy nose and extended wings were Trislander developments that were added to the Islander. :)
