BN-2 Islander repaints

Post by gordon-in-aberdeen »

If anyone's interested I came across some Loganair repaints of the BN-2 Islander on the flight-1 file Library

http://library.flight1.net/?cat=3

Been looking for those or something similar for Orkney and Sheltand since I got hold of the FTX Scotland scenery.

Off to re-enact the worlds shortest flight later, between Westray and Papa Westray :fly:

Thanks Gordon ;) I was going to attempt BDLV (Whisky) but chickened out  I could only find one shot to be honest and that helped my final decision. Nice to have it in the collection at last ;)

oh dear...I shouldn't criticise but those are not good

Too much alpha shine which ruins the black on G-BLDV

G-BEEG should be darker red with a black bottom.

Why did I type BDLV?? Dyslexia strikes again :wall:

Yup.. too much alpha but better than no paint at all.. I guess. The amount of time I spend in FSX.. I won't be seeing a lot of it anyway

I was thinking the same Garry. I trolled the google oracle for images of the old loganair colour and its definitely not that blue *-)

Still, with not much else out there for Loganair, I'll have to stick with one of them till something else comes along 8)

Dyslexia rules KO!

I'd just leave the sine off and let the material shone do it...but FSX...it's probably not alpha.

Whatever used for the shine...it's too much

Gordon

It really is a shame that so many well executed paints are let down by simple colour errors.

Take all of mine for example  No.. I can't really say that. You did the masters for the Vanguards so they're right ;)
