JY AI Repaint... Pretty Please

Hi Chaps,

I've been doing some experimenting with AI at Thurleigh, in particular the Ski jump. I've got one of John Youngs AI Harriers (Which are superb for anyone who hasn't tried them yet, they are a must have) trying to use the jump, although I'm having an issue is allowing it to take off from a runway that's closed for take off (don't ask.)

Anyway, Does anyone fancy repainting one of JY T4's (T4_Strakes) as XW175 Aero Flight Bedford? Its still in basic RAF colours with a "C" on the fin and the RAE crest. On the nose there is a little HS (Hawker Siddeley) I know that 175 was a T2, but this is as near as I can get... and its brilliant.

This one is the later VAAC and is included for reference only. I'd prefer the earlier one with the black and white discs on the tail.

I'll take a look Ben. I've got as far as downloading the Harriers and looked at the PK. Your link phot wasn't particularly good so I've searched for another and got a better one. Can't see C on the fin mind you

There is a problem here.. how do you see what your repaint looks like on an AI model in FSX?

Oh, and you can use MCX to view the model Dave, or give it a dummy panel and treat it as a normal aircraft

Just wondering if the RN T8 may be nearer the mark, as it doesn't have the long nose of the T4.

A good shot that Dave and shows the C on the fin (the pic I found doesn't have it.. nor the RAE logo. It has another logo just aft of FLIGHT SYSTEMS BEDFORD but I can't make out what it is.

Agree the T4 isn't really the right shape. It doesn't have a 3deg droop on it's boom for one In the meantime, I'll pop a panel on and see if I can view it in sim. I've looked in MCX but having just updated the prog.. I can't get the model to a viewable position. It's sans textures too.. I'm sure this is my fault Feel free to take over if you want Dave. I'll probably be here until next week

The Navy Harriers are in jyai_rn_sea_harriers_fsx_1.zip at All-Nodes

It's got the same features as the RAF models, i.e. VTOL models etc.

Also.. the T4 model is in the main (normal takeoff) version.. not in the Vertical takeoff. Hens teeth
