FCS Lancaster Paint Kit?

Post by DaveB »

Hi Chaps

Dan released a paint kit for the FCS Lancaster over at SoH around the time the model was released. Sadly, the links he gave are now dead. Does anyone here have a copy or know where I can get my hands on one? A Bing and Google search has proved fruitless :(

Don't know if "Bruce448" is still about - but he would seem to have had it and might be worth asking:

By the way, I know Simviation isn't "Top of the Pops" but I see some paints popping up there - allbeit of an ageing model version:

ah - it's also here:

No paint kit, though :dunno:

Cheers JD :)

Yes.. Bruce was prolific to say the least when the model came out and I have a lot of his paints already.. likewise, Matt Wynn's. Thanks for looking ;)

You haven't said what texture you wanted to paint Dave, but this is available as a complete aircraft on Flightsim.

Hi Den :hello:

It is actually VR-A I wanted to paint for the FCS Lanc. I have that one for Ed's model.. it's flying shotgun to the BBMF Lanc in my gallery thread :) Can't understand why it's not been done for the FCS model.. one of the repainters (can't remember if it was Bruce or Matt) did VR-R so I could doctor that one I guess.

Unrelated but I thought I'd take the Flying Stations Swordfish out on a rare flight the other day and was surprised to see they'd not released W5856/A2A.. the RNHF example :dunno: Fortunately, the old Alphasim model has it complete with modern RNHF crew and the model works fine in FSX. It suffers the prop issue but looks much better with the FS Swordfish prop texture installed :)

A quick heads up..

A repaint of VR-A has appeared at Allnodes today for the FCS Lancaster. Instructions say to put the paint on the BIII BX model (VR-A is a X) but that model has the H2S bump. Putting it on the BIII (model.BIII) works fine ;)
