Cabin pressurisation was certified to 36,000 ft. Reminded me of the time we "saw in" a Bucc after a longish transit flight.DaveB wrote:
You may be right.. that or the Bucc had a max ceiling of 1000ft

Crew wrote up a squawk about aeroplane cabin comfort at 44,000 ft, and we're roundly asked by my boss at the time what on earth they were doing that high up. (In military language of course . )

Surely thats cabin altitude, not aircraft altitude?Motormouse wrote:Cabin pressurisation was certified to 36,000 ft. Reminded me of the time we "saw in" a Bucc after a longish transit flight.DaveB wrote:

That was aircraft altitude, above 36000 Cabin altitude would rise at same rate as aeroplane climbed.
Was to do with the scheduling by the controller, when max differential between inside cabin and outside
of cabin was reached.
Cabin altitude would always be lower than aircraft altitude in normal circumstance, so pressure suits not required.
