Team SDB Enterprise escort repaints
Hi Chaps
In a moment of boredom, I've hacked a few additional repaints together for the Team SDB Enterprise destroyer escort..
The destroyers are Charles F Adams class of which there were some 23 ships so from the paint you get (side no.12 USS Robison) I've added No2 - USS Charles F Adams, 11 - USS Sellers, 21 - USS Cochrane and 22 - USS Stoddert.. simply by using these two numbers. It gives 4 more destroyers for little or no outlay
If anyone has this pack (FSX version) and would like these addons, you can get them HERE. Included are the 4 new paints, a sim.cfg and a basic conf.d (as above) for AICarriers

Re: Team SDB Enterprise escort repaints
I wasn't keen on buying the Enterprise again as I already had the Alphasim FS9 model. Unfortunately, it didn't take well at all to FSX SDB were able to get the original source code and made that model full FSX native while giving it a spruce up at the same time. You get 2 x 80's era models (one with loaded deck and the other clean) plus 2 x 90's models.. again, 1 loaded with era specific aircraft and another one clean. For whatever it was.. around £14 or £15 I think.. a smidge under £15.. its a cracking model. Is it better than the freeware Nimitz v2/Ike?? Probably not but it's certainly no worse either and you get the CFA class DDG t'boot I like Enterprise as she was a one-off.. no other American carrier looks quite like her

Dave, sorry if you already mentioned and I missed it, but does the ship thing (and AICarriers) work in P3Dv2 at all?
Or not tried?

Hey Dave,
Just stumbled across this thread (late, as usual) - very kind thanks for these.
And fully agree with your assessment, vis-à-vis this carrier and Javier's - this is my USN carrier of choice. My preference being for carrier flying prior to the 80s, there is little out there for USN carriers - unlike for either the Royal Navy or the French Aeronavale, where there are carriers modeled for nearly the entirety of the Cold War period - huge thankful plug to both Flying Stations and Royale French Navy, respectively. So '69 is about all there is, at that level, until the payware Midway (part of the F-4B project) materializes. Gary's nice Midway beta is also quite nice too, for a beta.
Anyway, your paints offer some interesting variations to the E's escorts, and for that, this duffer is very grateful. Notice how I didn't call it a boat ...
cheers,
dl

You're welcome DL
Yup.. I have Gary's Midway too and as you say.. it's not bad for a beta. Hopefully.. Gary will learn (in the fullness of time) to add moving bits.. aerials and lights

Just to add to the convo, Aerosoft's Grumman F-14 is coming with an terrific model of the USS Kitty Hawk. Have a scroll through this thread and find the pictures. The package is going to be worth getting for the carrier alone !

Mercy me.. is there no developer anywhere NOT after my money??
Cheers for that Paul I have to say I'm blissfully happy with Dino's F-14 but a decent Kitty hawk is worth looking at
