Chipmunk progress...

Post by petermcleland »

Just a few to show a couple of pre-start features that Rick is working on:-

Image
Chocs and a Pitot Head cover with a flag that waves in the breeze...

Image
...And No pilots...

Image
...till start up.

Image
Couldn't resist this of one of the F-16s on reheat take-off.

Image
I thought this time that I would wait for the Trident (in case I make him nervous!).

Image
I know they had a nickname of "Gripper", but remember this runway is only 5600 feet long!

Well, that's all for now...I need to get on with getting her from Summit to Lake Hood...I'm not really here today. This is just fantasy

Nice chocs, Rick.

My wife has got some on her xmas list but I don't think its quite the same thing.

Great shots as always, Peter.

I could have done with those chocs on the Aeroplane Heaven Tiger over the weekend. It's got no brakes, as per the real one. I started up with a headwind over where I was parked and found myself blown back into a building before I could get the engine started!!!

I waited for Rick to fix a little problem before I finished that flight...But he fixed it straight away and here are a few more I took as I completed that flight...No captions needed for these:-

Arrggggg!

Just spotted that the seatbelts have been pinched.

Noticed they must be hiding with the pilots.
off to fix it now while i remember.

Rick

Eric,

I would say that it is the best Freeware GA aircraft and from my experience it has the most realistic flight handling of ANY FS GA aircraft.

In my opinion the best Payware GA aircraft is the Dreamfleet A36 with my Turbo Conversion applied. This aircraft also has really excellent flight handling, but I would really like to see it stall more like Rick's Chipmunk

Well I can see why Peter likes the A36 so much, so Im looking foreward to the Chippie very much indeed!

I wonder how the new Archer 3 will fare.
