Display settings advice please

Post by 233SQN »

I am running FS9, but getting a lot of "flickering" on scenerey items (mainliy fences, runway markings or any fine detail) on British Airports add on sceneries.

Before I start tinkering, please can someone advise me which display settings would have most effect on this?

I currently have every slider on the max in all settings.

thanks
Thanks

Hi Colin

Someone should have a proper answer....but in the meantime

Maybe if you reduce the hardware redering light and mip map settings

I have had trouble with flickering sort of electronic grain with these too high

Not sure what Hardware rendering light does but my system doesn't like it full up

Hi Colin

All sliders on max is the problem.

In the FS9 display settings
slide the mipmap setting back to "4"(on "6" at moment).

Rick

Agree with Rick on this Mips settings are very important moving from 4 to 6 can really make a difference experiment until you find the least flicking
