Another bit of Scottish aviation trivia.
The route flown by Loganair between Papa Westray and Westray Islands
in Scotland UK is claimed to be the shortest commercial flight in the world.
About one and a half nautical miles and normally flown in 2 - 3 minutes the "flight" costs £30 ($54) return and a 58 second flight time has been claimed by one captain. The route is serviced by Britten Norman Islander aircraft .
is this true?
