RFactor Addons

Post by 05pricej »

Ive recently bought RFactor. And it's only been a day and im starting to get bored with the default cars and tracks.

Could someone tell of some good classic british addons.

While you do that i'll learn how to actually drive the cars.

I haven't found too many classic British ones yet.

However, the 1979 GP pack has just been released (available at rfactorcentral.com and other sites), the 2CV racing is a bit of fun too.

Quite a few British tracks about too - all the usuals, Brands, Cadwell, Oulton Park, Snetterton etc and a few other "interesting" ones like Hitchin town centre and Brooklands 2003 (proper oval!).

I don't know about a provisional release date for the classic BTCC pack, maybe someone else does...

Hi Jonathan

The Renault Clio cup has just been released and is as much fun as the Lupo's but with more power.

http://www.rfactorcentral.com/

Might have an MP game later but i'm just off to work.

Lupo's or Clios round some of the F1 79 tracks is fin in MP mode.

Rick

Not British, but an absolute blast in rFactor is the V8Factor series of Australian racing.

There is a Caterham beta download that's pretty good to drive. Else there's McLaren F1 or the ETCC pack.

Check out http://www.rfactorcentral.com/ for lots of goodies.

Hi Guys

If your into Recent F1 you will love this.

been playing the Beta all evening.

the most realistic F1 simming i have ever seen

http://www.fsone.us/

Beware it needs a very fast pc for more than a few cars on track.

I can just race with 20 but start is a little jittery.

If you get a Jarno trulli error you can get the tiny fix on their forum.

Regards
Rick

Just a question for anyone who has 1979 Grand Prix.

IM the readme and on RFactor Cntral it says to make a few adjustments to the PLR file.

1) What is that

2) Random question for you. :k:

I have a few times before tried to go into the aplication files window under.

c:\Documents And Settings\User name\

But the folder isn't there.

The only time i ever see it is when i scan with norton for viruses.

Go to 'Folder Options' under 'Tools' (I think - it's disabled on this machine) and make sure that 'Show Hidden Files' is checked. Then you should be able to find it!

Best,

Myles
