ILS or Visual

Post by DanKH »

Hi

I have made an afcad for HTKJ and implemented an ILS for RWY9 (according to real charts)

ATC doesn't recognize this approach as it sends me to Visual approach RWY 9...?

How do I convince the ATC that HTKJ now has an ILS approach instead of a Visual?

You have to take the weather conditions down to IFR. ATC defaults to Visual Approaches unless you either select the approach specifically or the weather conditions force an instrument approach.

The problem is, that the doesn't seem to by an ILS approach available...

HTKJ had no ILS, so I modified the default and placed an ILS on RWY 9.

But as I said, ATC directed me to visual still. The only other possibility was to select the other end of the RWY... :tuttut:

So the problem is to get ATC to know that there now is an ILS.

The map recognize it, the GPS as well, (at least in the display) but here you're not able to select an ILS approach either....
