Yeh cooking them on George is good, you get the fried texture & taste but with the fat reduction properties of grilling.

I'm assuming you gentlemen are referring to the grill, or is "cooking bacon on George" something new I've missed?

Garry,

Look here for the george foreman grill.

It will change the way you cook.

Ah, hate to pick you up on the finer points Dave ( :poke: ) but while every butty may technically be a sandwich, not every sandwich can be considered a butty. As an illustration, a bacon butty is fine, a chip butty is one of life's finer inventions .....but a salmon and cucumber butty?

Obviously more research to do here guys, shall we see if we can get a grant from his Royal Tonyness?

These things are important

You’re absolutely right Garry. Bacon Butties are right up there, almost as important the Full English Breakfast. Best not to get started on what constitutes a ‘Full English’, suffice to say if I doesn’t include Black Pudding your not doing it right.

Garry, it's supposed to be a healthier way to cook, as all the fat runs off from the food.

Personally I think that would make it difficult to produce the fried slice that is another vital component of Alex's "Full English", so I don't see one over making it into my kitchen!

You can also use the fat & oils collected from George to mix with seeds & nuts ect. The local birdies cant get enough of it!

Heh, Full English Breakfast... Ill have to pop out and stock up
