My favorite part is when the shuttle fires her main engines
right before SRB ignition.
and then again when the "go with throttle up" command is given

anyways.. can you imagine the thrust on yer arse ????
it weighs 4 million 500 thousand (towzand) pounds at lift off
being pushed along by 6,500,000 pounds of thrust.
and within 2/3 of a minute it weighs half as much
right before SRB seperation.
What would that feel like???
would you feel the changes in the physics of the ride your riding in? Getting Lighter as you're going faster?
....and then when you burst the bubble and are weightless
would you feel the invitation to Kiss the dashboard?

did any of you know..
by time the time the shuttle has traveled the distance of it's own length from lift off it has already reached the speed of 100 MPH
