Hi all
Come into a problem FS9 loads OK but when selecting weather menu FS9 just disappears, gone, vamoosed exits!!
Load up again and still it happens.
troubles appeared to start a couple of days ago when I downloaded DirectX June 07 from here.
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-gb/xna/aa937788.aspx
The first thing that occurred was FS9 freezing, then replays froze and took some time to continue. Am running XP and graphic card is the G-Force fx5200
I am not saying that DirectX is the cause but FS9 was running as sweet as a pea until I downloaded it.
I then took the precaution of doing a system restore prior to installation but now on the weather menu FS9 is crashing.
Going to have to cancel my flight with the Dove and thinking of a complete re-install but before I do has any-one got any ideas?
Also will the system restore bring the computer back to as it was before I installed DirectX June 07?
Thanks in advance.
Nigel.

Hi Nigel
Have you tried the old config trick.....drag the FS9 config out onto the desktop and then start FS and it will build a new one.
Any special settings or additional lines can be copies across later, but see if it runs first.

:doho: Oh Noooo!! Now you tell me after I've re-installed!! :brick:
Should have kept coming back here instead of being too impulsive! Never mind, all appears to be working as it should (touch wood).
Many thanks anyway Garry.
Regards Nigel.
