Leave well alone - or it's wet celery sticks at dawn. :curse:

I would like it changed because..
I do not beleive in a god
2 It only seems to be concerned with the head of state and does not give a fig for anyone else
3 It is such a dirge tune

Apart from that, i can live with it

Rule Britannia got my vote as it is a cheerful old song. Is it old? Or I am just young and ignorant. But yes, it does get the knee bouncing more than the present one. But the Queen should also be remebered. Here, the Dutch anthem is just patriotic, a bit old, but a nice history lesson for ignoramuses like me. At least we hear who our forefathers were. Some may rather not know.

replace it with something a bit more lively like the Italian national anthem, now that's more like it. Ours is too dreary :sleepy:

I think youse Southerners should stick to Land of Hope and Glory, but then irony may not be a strong point of English Humour.

I'm surprised that Alec Salmond and the Nats don't make more of the sixth verse.

Didn't know that there are more than two verses?? Tch, tch I feel the need for some more education from Filonian - but can't think of a suitable piccie myself.

Is "Couldn't give a Monkeys" one of P Diddys rap hits? Could get some of the yoof vote to go with the hip new Olympics logo.

I'm all for keeping 'God Save The Queen' as the anthem for the UK.
I believe strongly that England should have its own anthem (along with an English Parliament), and for me, 'Jerusalem' hits all the right notes.
