Good Lord.

I remember a few years ago Mr. Maltby saying something to the degree of "I'll never be able to get the hang of these virtual cockpits".

Now look! Brilliant stuff.

Oh dear, I do get embarrassed.

I see that expectation is building nicely.
Will it live up to it, I wonder?
Nah. It's good, but it's not that good.
And don't forget it's only the same ageing exterior model on the outside.

Garry, it is now an FSDS3 model (grabbable VC) & sadly all texture files had to be renamed. 100% necessity, not choice.
There is also one minor alignment difference - between the fuselage & the tail. The tail on the old model was a bit smaller than it should have been you see. Not many Comet paints are affected by that change though.
Other than that, textures remain the same.

Nice to see you around again Tom. "I'll never make anything for FSX" is my latest stance.
Probably quite true that one though.

BTW for those with FSX, the Comet should do ok, although it will have a few small faults. It is an FS2004 model, but I have tried to make it acceptable in FSX.

Cheers
DM

Thanks for being nice to me, it does help.

Hi Dave

Are the texture maps the same name other than _T stuck on the end  :worried:

Yes, that sort of thing Garry.
But since I was changing them anyway I've also got rid of the 4, 4B & 4C in the names as well.
eg.
COM4FUSE_1.bmp
COM4BFUSE_1.bmp
COM4CFUSE_1.bmp
will all now be COMFUSE_1_T.bmp

I have got a little batch file that can rename the old texture files correctly.
Easy as sticking the 'bat' file into each texture folder & double clicking it.
I'll include that in the release files.
