Many years ago when I was putting my youngest son to bed I performed mock straffing runs on him (a nice Dad, eh? ) with one of my models. In a blindingly fast move the little toddler kicked the aircraft right out of my hand. The aircraft was a total loss but the memories of the episode are priceless to me.

Heh anybody tried the old " set fire to paper aeroplane and then chuck them" routine?

Nice one Degsy :tab: That Mossie livery reminds me off the RNHF Sea Fury , Is it Royal Navy?

Thanks for the interest guys.

Took 17 weeks due to other restorations in home & garden. It actually only took about an hour to repair both, including the novel cleaning method using a shower head in the bath !!

The Mossie is a 1/48 model of an FBVI - Airfix or Matchbox - can't remember which and the livery is of one of the North Scotland anti-shipping RAF squadrons.

These are the only two models left from my (younger) model making years. Gone are the Anson, Beaufighter, Defiant, several spitfires, Wellington, VC10, Catalina, Apollo Saturn V rocket, Bristol Bloodhound missile and my favourite - Short Stirling complete with bomb tractor and trolleys. The undercarriage on that was a monster and very difficult to repair after my brother stood on it !!!! :@

Degsy
