RAF Fylingdales and its cliche

Post by Chris Sykes »

Properly spelt "Cliche" wrong but heres RAF Fylingdales and its cliche, Fylingdales being homage to the defence of the country and the Vulcan being the offence of the country during the cold war.

P.S. The RAF Fylingdales scenery is for FSX at flightsim.com

No Golfballs indeed. They were dismantled several years ago....probably more than 10 years, and replaced with the current set up.

So that's why I couldn't find them on Google Earth the other day when I was trying to show them to my Canadian wife! I guess you lose touch with some things when you are out of the country for 15 years! :$

I took some photos of the golfballs when I was on holiday in the National Park in the 80's so at least she has seen them that way. :)

The golf balls have long gone now, replaced by a 32m-high pyramid that became operational in October 1992

Apologies for multiple post .. my work PC is having a complete Brain Fart...it's going out the window in the next 10 secs.. It has just sent multiple posts and won't give me the option of editing my previous posts.
