Well I do hope I can clear it up. Basically now that Simshed have joined forces with Skysim, the plan is to make use of Skysim's facilities and contacts to increase the range, realism and frequency of projects we can release.
Naturally as Skysim is a payware outfit some of our work now will fall into that category but some will remain freeware. Most original models will continue to be updated as freeware. It's really a question of resources, if a project take a lot of scarce resources to create we will expect users to contribute, if not or if a project is a particular developers 'labour of love' then it may be released as a freeware project.
By continuing to support BOTH categories I am hoping to use Skysim to attract a group of talented developers from all aspects of aircraft and maybe scenery sides of the FS world to create a single source which can supply this great hobby of ours with a range of high quality products.
So to answer the original thread, all of the original Simshed projects will be allocated resources to be released in one form or another.
Any payware projects will be released under the Skysim banner and any freeware projects either under the Simshed name or released by the individual developer concerned.
There - clear as mud!

I understand Brian's side fully, as to complete the many projects on a small team is impossible. It has taken myself 3 years to get together the UKMIL team, from myself, to now 10 people, which makes a difference. It enables us to produce aircraft, and scenery, aswell as repaints, which would be impossible on my own. If you wanted assistance onb the freeware side Brian, you could have come over to us, as we have a good team who could have assisted you.

I LOVE it when Olivier Hardy is saying it to Stan . In fact i uploaded it many years ago as a 'crash sound' : a loud BANG!! followed by Ollie's voice : " Well, here's another fine kettle of fish you've pickled me into.. " I suppose you never used it then...DaveB wrote: (don't ya HATE that saying.. a kettle of fish.. I do!)
