Torchwood

Post by nigelb »

Last night's episode on this side of the pond feature the de Havilland Gypsy Queen - I think the registration was G-AIDE but my memory may be playing tricks. I was wondering if it really exists somewhere or was it just a clever prop.

You lot probably saw this episode last year since I think we are a season behind the UK.

I think you'll find it was G-AIDL, one of Air Atlantiques dH Rapides.

Had the reg incorrect as per above - should have been G-AIDL. Old age, eyes playing tricks, poor memory, the usual lame excuses! :$

The character stated the plane's name was Gypsey Queen, named after the engine. She was very pretty (the actress, not the engine - although I suppose you might also claim the engine is pretty), anyone know her name ... and don't say Gypsy Princess or any variation of same. ;-)

Well, when I get things wrong, I do a very thorough job! Per yet another repeat (which BBC America tend to do a lot) of the Louise Delamere Torchwood episode, the plane was called "Sky Gypsy" - don't know where I got "Gypsy Queen" from :brick: :doho:

Just to set the record straight, as if it really matters ;-)
