If you are having trouble with pics - remember the pond also hosts pictures - Several here - including the UKmil hooligans , John P and Tony Madge
I believe use the services. Its simple to use and lots of space
I seem to remember taking a phot of a phot at the Museum of Berkshire Aviation of Mr Bader standing next to a Miles. Will dig em out and see what it was ;-)
I worked at Fairoaks in 1960/61, and I well remember a Gemini in the hangar for a very long time. I was told that it belonged to Douglas Bader, and although I saw him at the airfield on several occasions, I never saw him fly it. If my memory serves me correctly, it was dark blue with white stripes. Can't remember the reg.
Great information Chaps !
And an even greater photo of the great man himself in the very aircraft !. Now I can start searching for anything else to be learnt about the colour scheme. If I can get enough then I feel a 'Bader version' being included !
Cheers

Yes indeed Ian. Tks for that There are two shots in the vicinity of the Bader article and I couldn't say hand on heart if AMGF had been the one they were refering to.. more an intuitive guess. Pity Shell didn't see fit to put their logo on it. That'd have made it much easier
