Re: heads up! Beagle Airedale
Hi,
D/L'ed it last night and installed it. It uses an installer and it's not set up properly. The default path is C:\pro....\Flight Simulator X\Sim Objects\Airplanes.
Note that, by default, FSX installs to Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Also, if left to it's own devices, the Airedale installer will put everything into the root of your Airplanes folder - you need to tell it to create a Beagle Airedale folder for it to install to.
Has anyone tried it out yet?
Myles

Re: heads up! Beagle Airedale
I have to say that when loaded this Airdale is a lovely model...really great to see this in FS!!!
But it did lead me to think - Having always been a fan of Austers & Beagles as they later became what would happen if you combined all the best bits of Auster with the Airdale...
I think you'd get something a little like this....

http://www.caa.co.uk/applicationmodules ... mgtype=jpg
Austers only built the one before they were taken over, all the shortfield performance of an Auster with the Cruising performance and Load carrying of an Airdale - And a Tailwheel
(Co-incedently the only one built lives about 10 miles up the road from Mr Piper....)
There's a really nice Mk5 Auster for FS but no Autocars, Anyone fancy havin a go at this one? - My Building skills really couldn't do the aircraft justice but i'm more than happy to supply any drawings, Performance Figures, photo's etc that anyone would need to build it if they wanted.....
It's great to see people taking an interest in British aircraft and getting some really original types onto FS, Please everyone keep up the fantastic work,
I may not be able to build aircraft for FS but if i can help in any other way to see more of these on FS i'd be glad to!
