I wish I'd had a video camera available when the truck would take a water slug. It was always a sight to watch the entire truck shudder as the massive shutoff valve that was designed to prevent the water from getting through when the filters sucked up water slammed close while 700+ gallons/minute were flowing through the system. It sucked for our mechanics as they had to disassemble the filter vessel and replace all of the filters after a slug hit, but was a funny sight when you're pumping along with no problem and then all of a sudden the truck seemingly jumps 6 inches sideways.
