Hi Bob,

With the new Beta01 the fsairlines ini/configuration file now gets created in the folder where the fsairlines.exe client app resides. Previous versions of the client created it in C:\WINDOWS but that has now been changed due to other issues - Viosta I think was having a problem creating the file in C:\WINDOWS.

Dave,

That fsairlines file in C:\WINDOWS doesn't do anything now so you can delete it.

Regards

John

working with john we got to the bottom of this

for some reason the client would not use the original password so we changed the password (because the password worked when logging in to FSairlines), checked that it now worked in the client, it does

then changed the password back again and the client continues to work.

somehow the client/fsairlines passwords were not in sync.

they are now

Did a complete delete and re-install of the Client and it worked, I presume, when I re flew the flight. I will fly next TR EGLL-EGPD tonight and report back.

I don't think I've had a 'password' problem as such so I've left that alone until such time as I'm clutching for straws

Just done 2 straight flights with no diversion and all is well. Got a flight summary on both flights which has been unusual. Seems that just doing your flight and not rocking the boat, FSA works. It's only when you inject the new features (eg.. diversions) that it seems unsure.

As all in the garden appears to be rosey, I've booked a flight Soton to Gue and plan a diversion. Not sure yet but there are numerous possibilities.. Maupertus, Alderney..

Will see what happens this afternoon ;-)

Attempted to start next flight and found a new beta waiting. This one correctly reports me at Soton and my flight Soton to Gue is waiting. However.. it is reporting wrong aircraft!!! I am sat at Soton on the runway in DH89 AIYR. How wrong can that be?? :dunno:

Nice one DaKurt :brick:

EDIT..
Unable to get out of Soton so cancelled flight and have rebooked to Bembridge. One other thing.. timings are still crap. Flight to Gue was listed as 21mins.. for a Rapide :o Oh.. another. Airframe life was 98% prior to booking the flight (HI-JB) and 97.8% on booking it. Having cancelled that flight, it has returned to 98% again!

Edit#2..
Unable to get out of Soton again (client reports wrong aircraft). Airframe has gone back to 97.8 since rebooking. Tried all the 'changing password' malarky.. closing client.. closing sim.. closing FSA.. opening them all again.. deleting client and associated files.. downloading and loading e t c and have hit a dead-end. This doesn't work :dunno:

Tested Flight EGAA - EGPK Vickers VC10
Tested Over speed below 10000 - Check - OK; Tested Light on above 10000 - Check - OK; Tested speeding while taxing - Check - OK; Tested emergency button (Diverted from Preswick to Cambeltown) Check - OK; Only observation is that warnings don't kick in immediately, but seem to give you a few moments to correct the error.

After typing the above into the comments field and clicking submitt flight, the client crashed. Looks like a buggette when entering comments.
Client beta 0.3

Interestingly, FSA is showing me at Campbeltown but no record of my flight. A new flight from Campbeltown to prestwick has been booked automaticly

Oh... just one more thing (Columbo style)

When you have the warnings scroll across the screen it also scrolls the flight state across the screen. Frankly this is bloody irritating. If you can't tell if you're decending, climbing, cruising or taxing, you probably shouldn't be on flynet.

Taxied at 27kts at EGLL. No penalty points.

Landed at EGPD incurred taxispeed penalty on touchdown. See fixed it on Beta 03. I was still on Beta02. Hope they give everybody a clean sheet when it starts for real.

Hi Simon :)

Yes mate.. when it goes 'live' (whenever that will be).. we carry over our ratings as they are now on the old client ;-) I wouldn't be doing the things I'm doing now were that NOT the case!
