One had to divert to Liverpool a while ago due to the heater packing up and cabin temps dropping down to about -40 or something. It wasn't even painted!

Interesting spot mate. What colour was it? I'm sure the details will flag up on ringway reports tomorrow. ;-)

Then they took to the air again when they realised it was colder on the ground. :)

Update on Ringway reports reads:

http://www.ringwayreports.co.uk/C-FTBZ_JS_251108.jpg

"Canadair CL-415 C-FTBZ remained parked on the freight ramp throughout the day, with crew resting before continuing a delivery flight, presumably to Malaysia"

I checked today,it was still parked at manchester, and it is a CL-415,unpainted,but had a symbol on the fin, that i think might be a malaysian one or heading for that part of the world.
Not found as yet a copy of the symbol,so cannot say for certain,it was a circle, with one half white and the other blue, with what looked like a fern going up the centre.

Cl-415
It was parked on 'rompa'; on delivery to Malaysia, got held up 'cos various overflight permits
hadn't come through.Going to be fitted out for SAR duties.

Often drop-in en route, (as an authorised Bombardier service centre its easier for the factory rep to gain access
if there's snags)
