One of the best rock and roll bands of the 60's, imho. :tunes:

Leif, I think that is one of the best songs ever written and it is my favourite Kinks song. Just something haunting about it and it really paints a picture of a scene. Great lyrics, great melody, in fact it makes my desert island list. Thanks for the link!

Cheers Simon

I was an inmate of HCSB for 3 years -- damn near killed me

I still get cold chills when I see green and silver together ;)

Of course their lordships at the top of the hill in the boaters were worse

A great band the Kinks. This ones my favourite, not being a Londoner. ;-)

"Dedicated Follower of Fashion" and "Lola" always raise a smile as well.

I really do wish folk would stop keeping this thread alive. Every time I see it, I get the song in my head for a couple of days and it won't go away!

Suggest you do heavy :drinkers: or :prayer: might work. Hey, at least we did not mention "Wild Thing" by The Troggs. Ooops!
